Check that your time is dead on or if you have a loose time chain that will make your truck cut out, also check all your vacuum lines to the carb.if those are fine give your rig a tune up

97 ford taurus just relaced camshaft scincronizing shaft and cam pos sensor. now at 3500 rpm when it is reved in garage it has dead spot like -_-_-_-_ when the throttle is held . but runs smooth under...

When in park and you pin the gas it will cut at 3500 4000 rpm this is normal you need to drive it to check. Also I hope you didn't change the syncro for just the chirping noise, because it is a easy fix that nobody has mastered yet. I figured it out.

97 blazer service engine soon light does not come on at all

If the vehicle still runs, it may be the lite bulb burned out in the dash.

'97 Chevy Blazer LS. 77 K miles. At what mileage is the suggested timing belt change for these models or is it change them when they break?

Chevy blazers dont have timing belts they have chains. The chains get noisey on some engines that are run hard or the oil changes are missed. Sometimes these engines live their whole life if not run too hard without changing the chain. Noise lower gas mileage uneven idel hesate to accerate. These are all things that happen over 100 thou miles. Many go way farther with no problems

97 k1500 5.7 liter vortec misses on cylinders 3 and 5 while idling. about 1500 rpm only cylinder 3 and 4 miss then at 2000 rpm only cylinder 4 and 8 miss. what could cause this?

I have had continuous missing issues on my 1997 Silverado after i had a new engine installed 30,000 miles ago. Today I purchased a new gasket for the EGR Valve and removed it. The mechanic had re-used the old gasket when he replaced the engine and cut corners to save $2.00. I found he had installed the EGR bass-ackwards causing my check engine light to stay on and the engine always to miss. Engine runs GREAT now

97 cummins 5.9 wont run over 2500 rpm

If the fuel filters havet been done in a while, changing all of them would probably help.
