Question about 2004 Volkswagen Jetta
Ticking that occurs only after car is warm usually, and goes away If I put car into neutral/park and rev it past 3k or so. It's a pretty regular ticking and speeds up with engine and goes away at accel. Sound occurs If I'm doing city driving but goes away after highway driving. I was told that this is normal sound b/c it's supposed to be the timing belt
Difficult one this without haveing a drive in car to hear the noise, this sort of sound could be caused by the flex plate on the crank/torque converter, break on edge of fan belt, power steering pump, altenator bearing, evan the transmission possibly a pump,or could it sound more a sort of electro mechanical noise ?? without hearing it its very difficult to diagnose .
