check the brake circuit and i think one of the brake sensor is bad and replace it if you have under warranty. It cost nothing.

P0338 Crankshaft Position Sensor A Circuit High Input. Check the voltage going to your Crankshaft Position Sensor. Also check the sensor itself. A service manual or Haynes Manual for your vehicle will help you out with step by step procedures. These are available at most of your local auto parts store. Thank you for using FixYa!

Sincerely,

JC

Check engine light for 2009 hyundai sonata. I recently had a service done on my car, oil change and inspection, everything was clear, this was on august 29th, now today september 19, my check engine light...

Your computer checks your cars many sensors for any signal that seem out of a normal range. If it finds anything that seems odd it will set a code and your check engine light will come on. Best advice is to take it to a garage or somebody who can retrieve that code with a scan tool. If it's a bad part replace it, if it's nothing clear the code. Then the light should go away.
Sounds like the routine mantinence done is unrelated to your problem. But check your fluid levels to be safe. Otherwise get the code read, it usually is free or cheap to have that done.

2005 hyundai sonata. The check engine light is on. The rmp gauge keeps going back to zero. The car is starting to hesitate.

When a 'check engine light' (MIL=Malfunction Indicator Lamp) is turned on, there is a DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) set/stored in the ECM/PCM (Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module). This code identifies which engine management system component/function experienced a malfunction. Once you pull/read this code, you may begin diagnosis.

Check engine light came on and was blinking... the car was vibrating/pulsating and had a delayed acceleration.. turned car off and then back on and it seemed to help but check engine light remained on, but...

A blinking check engine light indicates one or more cylinders is currently missfiring. You will have to scan the computer and get the code to determine which cylinder it was. Then you can start you diagnostics to figure out why it was missfiring.

Check engine light has come on,what should I look at?

Hi

You need to take your vehicle into a shop that can scan for a trouble code. If the engine light is flashing you should have your vehicle towed in.

ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD IT CHECKED OUT

the "emissions" refers to the entire system which reduces pollutants into the amptmoshere. you need to know the code and ill be able to tell you what needs to be done. you may not be experiencing any issues other than a check engine light. let me know what they put on the invoice from the shop.

Service engine light is on and the ESB light was on

OK!... I assume you mean the ESC light... right? Based on my experience, what you have is a malfunctioning BRAKE LAMP SWITCH... replace it and see if that fixes your problem. Hope this is helpful (since you didn't scan the 'CHECK ENGINE' light issue).Whenever the 'CHECK ENGINE' (Service Engine Soon) light comes on, the ECU (Engine Control Unit) sets a Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC). These codes identify the particular engine management system which caused the light to come on.
You'll need to use/find an OBDII (On-Board Diagnostic) Scanner to retrieve any code which have been stored in the ECU computer. If, IN FACT, you have a 'BRAKE LAMP SWITCH' code, then you've found the problem and the solution.
