Under the glove box beneath the dash the resistor should be screwed into the heater housing.

Back up a minute...Do you have spark from the coil wire? (juice from coil) If so, change or check rotor and cap (wires do not all go bad at same time so unless they are wet, likely at least good enough to start engine)

The PCM is located on the right side under the hood and up against the firewall. It will have 3 large plugs going into it. Now thats right side looking from sitting in the drivers seat.

Jeep grand cherokee alarm system

The 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Anti-Theft System is equipped with Vehicle Theft Security System (VTSS). VTSS system monitors vehicle doors, hood, liftgate and ignition. If an attempt is made to enter or operate vehicle without proper disarming of system, vehicle horn will sound, headlights, taillights and parking lights will flash, and engine will be prevented from running.

The following wiring diagram and electronics circuit contains detail schematics of The 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Anti-Theft System. Herein you will find interconnection between electronics parts of the system such as body control module, auto headlamp light sensor. VTSS led, driver door module, passenger door module, cylinder lock switch, junction block, power distribution center, and grounding. 1996 Jeep Cherokke 5.2 grand laredo, missing on acceleration found loose distributer need to set timing.

Base (initial) ignition timing is NOT adjustable. Do not attempt to adjust ignition timing by rotating the distributor. All ignition timing functions are controlled by the Powertrain Control Module.Adjusting the timing on a Jeep Grand Cherokee requires special tools and an understanding of engine mechanics. Changing the timing on a Jeep Grand Cherokee with distributor-less ignition requires professional reprogramming of the powertrain control module. This guide covers Jeep Grand Cherokee models with distributed ignition only. you can go to this site and it will explain it. www.ehow.com/how_4521340_adjust-timing-jeep have a good day !!

The ignition control module for the 1988 Jeep Cherokee is located on the ignition coil for the 4.0 L SSI, or in the distributor for the HEI system, which is easily identified by the large distributor cap. The 2.5 L Renix ignition module is located left of the battery and is integrated to the coil.

1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo ... no spark and no fuel pressure

sounds like your crankshaft position sensor has failed it is located on the bellhousing and has a thick black lead off it with a three wire plug, also it should have 1 ten mm bolt holding it in place, this provides an impulse signal for spark and fuel injector pulse and the car wont run without it -jeff ps please rate and goodluck http://www.autopart.com/CrankSensor/CrankSensor1992JEEPCHEROKEE.htm this is also a suspect part but my money is on the crank sensor, this part is this camshaft sensor located in the distributer and will not kill the fuel in most cases just spark http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php?catalog=301&partnum=C1929&a=FR301-C1929
