I was wondering if you have figured out this problem as I too don't have the owners manual, I have a light on that says" Hold", just wondering what it means

I have exactly the same problem. The HOLD indicator light is on. I have taken it to the Auto Repair twice and still no luck.

Can anyone tell me what this light is for?

My 2005 Suzuki Swift has a warning light problem. On cold starts after 2 or 3 minutes the check engine and hold lights start to flash and often stay on for a few minutes and then usually go off. Only happens on cols starts, no other times. It only started doing it after the PCV kit recall. It seems to be something to do with tyhe warm up cycle, choke ? icing ?

    any suggestions.

Hi there, I am guessing by the sound of it you car is an Automatic.. The hold button on the car is the same as an overdrive button on other cars. On your shifter its self there should be a button saying hold or it may not be marked.... Try pressing this button.... If the light if flashing this could indicate a fault within the transmission and you will need to have the transmission serviced..... If the light is still on after the hold button has been pushed it may indicate a fault within the switch itself..... If this helps let me know... Thanks guys:)

My 2006 Verona is doing this too. there is a hold button by the gear shift and evidently I had pushed it in and caused it.
