Question about 2003 Ford Expedition

1 Answer

Radio, horn and windows don't work when 03 expedition is cold

My 2003 Ford Expedition is having an electrical issue. Until it warms up the radio, windows and horn. Since I live in AK that can take a while. Once it does warm up though, everything just magically turns on. Any ideas??

Check the fuses that control these circuits and make sure they are not corroded.

2003 expedition Radio and power windows dont work

Someone's going to have to find a short, open or defective component that's temperature dependent. You can go out with your multi-meter when it's cold and not working or the tech can do it. It's not fun, and it's often not cheap. Since the radio and sunroof aren't really related, I'd start looking for a bad ground somewhere. There should be a fairly heavy wire somewhere connecting the body to the engine or chassis. Look underneath and around the back of the engine compartment. If you can find it readily, make sure it is intact and has nice bright connections. (take the ends off and clean them with a wire brush, if you doubt the wire at all, replace it.)

1999 FORD EXPEDITION intermittantly will not start.

You have a bad starter. A faulty starter will function when its cold but when it heats up, it takes more energy to get the starter to engage. Your problem is exhibiting the classic symptoms of a bad starter. I hope this solves your problem and the best of luck to you.
