Question about 2007 Suzuki XL-7

Passenger seat belt light will not illuminate. The chirp sounds.

Worked fine until yesterday. 11k miles on my car. Adjusted seat. Could that be the reason?

Check under the seat for a disconnected plug. Should be an easy fix.

Why is the passenger airbag light on?

Could be a problem with the sensor in the seat. The system thinks someone is sitting in the seat and the seat belt is not fastened.

You talking about the seat icon? Which light is flashing? If you do not connect seat belt that light will not go out. If you have a dog the seat belt light will flash if it is on front passenger seat. Which icon light is flashing?

Pull the fuse it won't affect the seatbelts from working correctly. otherwise you have to disconnect each seatbelt lock to find the defaulted lock. As for the airbag light; do you have the type that can be turned off with a key? It may be permanently turn off and needs to be turned back on with the key.

2003 ford escape seat belt warnign light

Probably no need to see an expensive mechanic. My seat belt warning light came on a few days ago when there were four people in the car and the rear seat belts weren't fastened (I thought that was why it lit up). However, the light came on and stayed on when I was the only person in the car. Logically, it suggested a bad connection somewhere, so I checked the connector under the passenger seat and made sure it was properly fastened together. I then sprayed a small amount of WD40 into the female clasps of both front seat belt connectors, clipped and unclipped the belts a few times and the light is now fine. Try it - it worked for my 2003 Escape.

Sounds like either you did not connect the seat belt restraint wiring when the seats where put back in. This is a common problem. You will need to look under the seat and make sure that there are no loose wiring at all. The SRS is for the seatbelts.
