Question about 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada
A week ago my Olds Bravada starting cutting out when trying to accelerate uphill, I thought it might be the overdrive acting up. 2 nights ago, it started cutting out and the lights were flickering, when it stalled out, it would start up again no problem but continued to sputter and stall. It stalled for good last night, I have had the alternator tested and it passed fine, I replaced the battery as well but it still will not start. It turs over fine, so I know the starter is ok. Any suggestions?
Does it have spark , fuel pressure ? If the starter spins the engine an does not start an run , you have a fuel delivery problem or a ignition system problem . There are videos on youtube showing how to test for these .

SOURCE: 2009 Toyota Camry problems
All Toyota auto trans cars downshift when descending a hill when you tap the brake. This is called "Downhill Shift Logic"; what this is for is to eliminate the double shift when you come to the bottom of a hill and then accelerate. Normal condition. Usually happens above 38 MPH.
Also: The cruise will accelerate when going uphill. Normal condition.Plus: The cruise will not disengage back to the set MPH after you top the hill. Toyota recommends to disengage the cruise when encountering steep terrain.

Depending on miles, this could be a timing problem. Also you may want to change plugs, wires, fuel filter and clean fuel injectors.

Aftermarket fuel pump failure? Try "thepartsladi" store on eBay for low price GM OEM parts. Could also be wiring harness to fuel pump.
