My dash lights don't work. I checked the fuse and changed the light switch.

Is there something I can do with a fusible link and if so where is it located?

The headlights, running lights, signal lights and brake lights work.

My dash lights are not working. Fuses are good and changed light switch.

    Other lights work fine.

If all the fuses are good, try turning the dimmer and see if the lights come on dim. If the lights still do not work, it could be a bad switch.
I would check the headlamp switch with a test light.

1979 CJ7 wont crank...

Starter may be bad. Quick test but not garaunteed to prove anything is to hit the starter body a cple times with a hammer or other object, If starter then turns over replace it. If that doest do anything it may be they starter relay located in the underhood fuse box or the starter solenoid.

generally manual boxes have a square plug on top that you can remove and fill through, use a good grade of gear oil.

No power to stereo after front speakers (under dash) got wet

Pull the radio and check power lead. you may have a problem there or, if water got into radio the board may be shorting out. Some radios have a fuse in the wire and one inside the radio itself. Make sure that ground is still good as well, you can bet if water got there once, it has come in to a lesser degree, and went unnoticed many times before.
