SOURCE: Its not the alternator or batterey

try the ignition module. Take it off and have it checked out at a parts store such as autozone or advance. I bet it is getting hot and dying on you.

I recently switched a master power window switch,,bad ground,,and only the drivers window worked I also had a draw on the battery which turned out to be a short in the radio which had displayed and on and...

radio can get power from 2 sources.. the memory wire and the ignition wire(key-on)..if these are causing a dead battery after sitting for a bit..without much cost you can get a battery cut off switch that will cut all power to the car..only thing is.. all the memory in the car gets wiped out each time you shut it off. these are made for big rvs to keep the main starting battery isolated from the static batteries that run the rv equipment..

To test a altinator the easy way without special tools, start the car, remove the negative battery cable. If it stays running, the altinator is good. I had the same type of problems. It's probably your ignition coil/coils going bad. Try replacing it and cleaning inside distributer cap & rotor.

I have a 93 town car, just replaced the suspension air dryer, Had to jump start the car to test suspension sys, let the car run for about 30 min to charge battery. Let car sit for the afternoon went to...

I am not saying to drive the car with the Airride OFF, but go into the trunk before starting your car and turn the Airride off and see if it makes a difference. The Airride may still not be right or the drain on your Battery from the Airride is too great to keep the engine running when the Battery is low.

When you try to start it you should hear the fuelpump kick on. If you do not hear it perhaps the Inertia switch in the Trunk next to the Airride switch was bumped or switched off. Push the Inertia switch button before trying to start your car.

Power cuts out while driving but just for a second, but the car keeps going after that, and on the dash one of the lights blink and it says security.

if your security starts to flash check the battery connections on the body & on the motor loose connection can cause this the car thinks someone is trying to steal it when you disconnect the battery or change the battery you have to make sure that you know the security code / or if it is passive the key to open lock then open the door to reset the code

I hav a 95 cutlass supreme. when i turn on my head lights the head lights stay on but the dash lights cut in and out and my radio also cuts off and on.sometimes when i use my turn signal my radio cuts off...

you have a loose wire or a short somewhere in the dash. Hopefully you can fix without changing the harness out. I'd try some test to try to isolate the problem. with the engine off, and the lights on and radio on, reach under the dash to where your fuses are located and lightly move the wires coming from the fuse box watching and listening for the short. If you cant locate here, move your hand deeper into the dash again lightly mving the wires behind the radio and then the light swtich. good luck of finding this.

if your car keeps cutting out is because you might have a loose connection to the battery. if your vehicle is running and it looses connection with battery it should still stay running. if it dies it means that you have a bad altenator.
