The back window has a panel over it of course so let me tell you what I know. It has pop in clips in most of the panel but you have to find a few screws before trying to pop the panel off. You might want to check out a parts store for a tool (trim puller).

You need a new window regulator. The cable broke.

I have a 2002 mustang convertible. My rear windows will not go down... I finally got the right side rear window to go down, but the driver side still refuses to go down. Is there anything I can do to...

I suspect they are powered windows. If so you can simply do two thingsto do a test on the one not working. A OHM meter will make things easier to work with if you have one and have the knowledge to use on. They are selling very cheap these days at any Auto Zone store and most other auto parts stores. They do come with instructions as well
Any ways you can swap the rear window switch to the side that oes not work and try it or remove the 1/4 interior trim panel and test the motor it self. Two wires go to the motor. One for up and one for down. I would take a lead wire from the fuse box and try each connector on the motor to see if it works both ways. The motors housing is the grond so no additional grounding is required by you. The ohm meter can be used to test each switch and also for shorted out wires too.
It may sound difficult although its now. Removing the trim panel is the hardest part of all
Good luck and hope you get this going soon

Mustang rear window...fuse or motor?

first check the fuse.if its good then check the window motor by pressing the button and if you dont hear the motor going theres your problem, needs to be replaced.  unfortunatly the motor isnt sold by itself you got to buy the window regulator. here is a pic. of the part29159f3.jpg

1989 ford mustang power window will not go down

check the pwer switch. if you don't detect any sign of live. then you have to open the door panel to check the motor. most likely the motor or the "T" rail cable is broken.

Power windows and rear popping

Check the switch first, use a 12 volt test light to checke the contacts while you operate the switch. as far as the noise goes you should check for a loose shock mount bolt, crawl under the car and have a look.

It is the switch wear you roll up and down the windows. Get the switch replace and that should solve the problem.
