If its not the fuse. Check the switch. It's under the dash and when step on the breaks a plunger comes out. Make shure it's not stuck. If you have an ohm meter check the switch.

I have 1997 Volvo 850 and all the brake lights are not working. Fuse is ok. taillights are working. Could the light control module in the trunk be the issue or should I be looking elsewhere?

there is a switch under the brake pedal. usually when you push on pedal the switch plunger comes out and completes teh light circuit and the break lights( ony) are controlled and come on.

My break lights are constantly going bad on my 240 volvo. From the fuses to the sockets to the little white box in the back where the wiring hooks up to the lights having a melt. Why can't I get my breaks...

When the plactic melts, the metal has overheated too much and cannot be restored. Cut out the old sockets, and enough of the wire to get un heat damaged wire. and splice in the new sockets. DO not use the old bulbs, get new ones, or the issue can continue.

2002 Volvo S60 (T5) The break ligth warning

This has to do with the anti-lock brake system. It will be fine without it, but if you want it fixed get it done at a dealer not a shop. It will cost a lot more but the repairs will be done right and will last longer.
