There is a speed sensor on the top of the rear differential. either the sensor is bad or it has become unplugged. when the truck doesnt know how fast it is going, the trans goes into "limp mode" to protect itself...whic causes it to shift hard and if u look you'll notice the o/d light is blinking

I have a 2004 dodge neon sx2.0 and last yeah I blew a tranny line and when I took it to a garage they said that my coolant mixed with my ATF fluid so they did all the work and it worked fine for a couple...

Try having a radiator shop look at the transmission cooler inside the radiator to see if it can be repaired. If not, then a new radiator is needed.

If i blew a tranny cooler line on my 2004 dodge ram cummins whats the chance it damages the transmission?

The chances are very good if you kept driving it. The trans pumps fluid through the lines to the cooler and back, so if a line broke the fluid is going on the ground and emptying the trans. Sorry for the answer, it's not likely what you wanted to hear. I would try filling it up after you fix the line and see what happens. I would put at least a full can of Lucas in it when I refilled it. Lucas says you can put as much as 2. Once you have it refilled, run it through the gears slowly right down to low and back up. Do this a couple times to make sure all the circuits are full of fluid. Most tranny fluid and filter changes take about 4-6 quarts to refill so you can judge from there. The more you have to put in the more likely there is damage. Hope this helps and good luck.

I have a 95 mercury sable 3.8 liter and when I drive for too long in warm weather, it leaks tranny fluid

This is an interesting one. Where is the transmission fluid leaking from? If it is coming out of the transmission where it meets the engine, then you are looking at replacing the front transmission seal, and to do this you will need to pull the transmission. If it is not leaking at this spot, then you are looking at a line leak, and will need to replace the bad line. There are going to be two lines for the transmission, make sure that yoyu inspect each one of them thoroughly/ They are the usual culprit when a transmission starts to leak.

I was trying to get off ice and was spinning my wheels. all of a sudden i lost all my trans fluid (also spread into the engine compartment) now wont go into gear - did I lose a line i currently can not get...

A blown axle seal will leak some, but not to that extreme. It sounds like you blew a tranny cooler hose, from the tranny to the radiator (its under pressure and will drain quickly). Open hood look down between rad and engine, near the bottom you'll probably see a broken hose from the tranny to the rad.

LOST ALL TRANNY FLUID

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it sounds like you either lost your torque converter or the forward seal on the tranny most likely do to an inner pump problem. All this adds up to a transmission rebuild unfortunately.
