I bought a stereo off of ebay and the stereo i got does not say rds on it? is this stereo going to work for my 2004 gmc yukon? my old steroe says rds on it. the new stereo also says locked and holding down 1&3 or 2&4 does not give me any numbers can you help?

Of course. As a matter of fact, many car stereo shops will sell the correct wire harness adapters in order to fit the car's OE connectors, so that no cutting and splicing is necessary. Simply plug in, and install.
Usually car stereo's have two wires that supply power, aside from the ground. One has power all of the time, for your memory and clock. The second is for when you turn the ignition key on, to allow the stereo to come on. It sounds like you have a power wire going to the the wrong one.
That's usually how it works. On the Delta stereo you hold the FM1/2 and DX buttons. You can try different combinations though. Also, make sure you press both buttons at the same time - don't hit one and hold it down, and then hit the other - it won't work that way.
ensure the radio is off.press and hold preset 6 and switch radio on keeping 6 pressed.the display should change after a few seconds and u can then enter the pin code but i beleive u only get 2 or 3 attempts so make sure u have correct pin or it will need to be sent away to be unlocked
