I just did this and all you do is push in both sides of the white on the connector but make sure you push it on first then push the white tabs and then pull or your can buy a quick release and slide it on and make sure you push hose all the way on and then insert the tool and then pull off.

If it is the clips I am thinking of... they have a white push in clip from the side of the connector, pull the white clip out, ( which is really the lock for it) and then the hoses will pull off.. reverse to install.

remove the bolts that hold the fuel rail. Lift the fuel rail, pulling the injectors out carefully. Make sure the rubber seal comes out with the injector. Remove the electrical clip for the injectors you want to change. Clip in the new injector, and replace the fuel rail and the injectors.

What tools do you need to change a inline fuel filter

It depends on how your truck is equipped. Ford trucks use Two different styles of connectors. Although both styles will connect to the same filter, one is held together by plastic clips and the other is held by spring locks.

If yours has the plastic clips, you simply need a small screwdriver to remove the clips from the connector. They will usually break when you try to remove them. Not to worry, because the new fuel filter should come with new clips in the box (you are supposed to replace them anyway).

If your vehicle is equipped with the spring locks, then you will need a fuel line disconnect tool (available at ANY retail auto parts store) to release the connectors from the fuel filter. In this case, you do not need the clips that come in the box, you can simply discard them.

The fuel line tools come in different variations from metal to plastic to the ones that can fit several size fuel ad A/C hose to those that are only good for one size hose. The one that I have found to work on Ford products the best for me is made by OEM Specialty Tools. I use it at least once a week and it is a very well constructed tool (MUCH better than the plastic ones). It is available at AutoZone for $7.99. I have included a picture of it below.

How do you change a gas filter on a 2004 Chevy Colorado

There is a plastic clip on each side of the filter, inside the fuel lines. You'll need to squeeze the clip towards each other and pull off the line.

How to change fuel filter

Fuel filters of modern day cars are located under the car. Usually connected on each side with a plastic clip that can be taken off with a screwdriver.. if you break it, no biggie... the replacement fuel filter comes with new ones. Just pry them off, and pull of the filter. replace with new filter and clips. Once you get the new filter you'll know what you are looking for. It's under the car off to one side or the other... you'll find it.

How do I change the fuel filter on my 2000 Excursion? New filter has plastic clips

You need a small pocket screw driver and pinch the opposite end of the clamp to remove. Normally they come with new clips as the old ones break off. And if the filter has been on a long time the clips can actually wear out and can leak fuel if you don't replace them.you also have to remove the one or two mounting bolts holding it on.

Where is fuel filter at on 04 chevy cavalier

I just changed one today (5/28/05) on a 2002 cavalier. A few feet from the end of the car, located in the middle (basically right after the trunk). To change it is pretty easy if you take the plastic clips sort of off (this gave me LOTS of trouble but now I can take off this end in 2 seconds). Just pinch the plastic clip (green on my car) & then push the platic clip almost out. Then pull that side out (watch out - you will have gas come out). Then unscrew the other side. I had to take off another part to unscrew this side because of little room. Also - BEFORE you start - take off the gas cap, jackstand the car & I also removed the fuel pump fuse (located in the engine, driver side).
