Question about 2001 Ford Windstar
I have seen this problem many times. Open the hood and remove the battery connectors. Scrub them with a wire brush and reconnect tightly. It doesn't make sense...I know. I have seen this problem probably 5 times. Having said that, you can also check the fuel pump shutoff. It is a red button that is probably located in the rear of the van in the jack compartment. If it isn't there, open the hood and there should be a sticker telling you where it is. If that is ok, check the starter solenoid and the starter.

The problem looks like it's the starter is bad and a spark tune upor the fuel pump..
i would try the fuel pump first does check and make sure that when u turn the keyit makes a attempt to turn on does it click if it does than it's the fuel pump...
