If it is not getting fuel when you first start it, nothing you replaced is involved.
Could be a faulty fuel pump relay or check valve in the pump.
You would need to check fuel pressure at the injectors before you first crank the engine. It should have at least 25-30 psi of pressure after sitting overnight. And the pump relay should power the pump for 3 or 4 seconds when you first turn the key switch on.

I have a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, 4 cylinder, 2.2 Ecotec engine. I went to start it to for work and it will turn over but will not start completely. If my husband sprays ether into the intake it will start...

change the fuel filter for one, then have the fuel pump checked, make sure it has a continuous supply of fuel with the correct pressure at all times

Is the security light active? If yes it will have to get reprogrammed by the GM dealer as GM has this as a propriatory system... Meaning no one else can work on it.
