Question about 2000 Hyundai Elantra
My son inherited our Elantra this has been a good car with the exception CD player takes abou 75 inserts to accept a CD . this is annoying. For Christmas I bought him a replacement radio, My mistake I can not figure how to get the Dag gum thing out! I begining to think it involves using a comalong
I'd suggest to go to garage and ask mechanic to install a radio.

on the hyundai you will usaually see four small holes two either side of the radio unit itself. if you take 4 allen keys/hex keys and insert all at the same time making sure to keep them very straight the stereo unit shuld then be free to pull out. you will then find that it has a universal plug on the back of it and you should be able to plug and play with that. if wrong size/type of plug then buy a convertor from motor discount store.

I HAVE A 2008 HYUNDAI ELANTRA. I HAD THIS PROBLEM WHEN I WANTED TO REPLACE MY FACTORY RADIO. I ENDED UP TAKING APART MOST OF MY DASH TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT. AFTER ALL SAID AND DONE. I FOUND OUT THAT THE PIECE THAT GOES AROUND THE RADIO JUST SNAPS INTO PLACE. I USED A COUPLE OF FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVERS TO PRY IT OFF. THAT IS IT. IT IS THAT EASY. THE WHOLE CAR JUST SNAPS TOGETHER. THE CAR IS CHEAPLY PUT TOGETHER.
