I'd suggest to go to garage and ask mechanic to install a radio.

SOURCE: Need to replace the radio/cd player in my 2001 elantra

on the hyundai you will usaually see four small holes two either side of the radio unit itself. if you take 4 allen keys/hex keys and insert all at the same time making sure to keep them very straight the stereo unit shuld then be free to pull out. you will then find that it has a universal plug on the back of it and you should be able to plug and play with that. if wrong size/type of plug then buy a convertor from motor discount store.

I HAVE A 2008 HYUNDAI ELANTRA. I HAD THIS PROBLEM WHEN I WANTED TO REPLACE MY FACTORY RADIO. I ENDED UP TAKING APART MOST OF MY DASH TRYING TO FIGURE IT OUT. AFTER ALL SAID AND DONE. I FOUND OUT THAT THE PIECE THAT GOES AROUND THE RADIO JUST SNAPS INTO PLACE. I USED A COUPLE OF FLAT HEAD SCREW DRIVERS TO PRY IT OFF. THAT IS IT. IT IS THAT EASY. THE WHOLE CAR JUST SNAPS TOGETHER. THE CAR IS CHEAPLY PUT TOGETHER.

So i installed my cd player in my car, all the wiring is correct and when i started the car to see if it works, the cd player does not turn on, then to compound matters the power door locks don't work and...

As you mentioned that " CD player does not turn on".By this do you mean to say that there is no power to the radio.Or there is power to the radio but nothing is getting started on radio/stereo unit. Also is it after market radio unit or is a factory installed company radio. In some cases its noticed that radio does get started till the exact radio code is inserted. In that case you can get the radio codes from the local dodge car dealer. But if its not a radio code problem, but the power related problem then the radio connections has to be checked. Also some after market radio/stereo units are not compatible with car.So that is also possible. ------------- Get this possibilities confirmed. So this will help to retrieve the exact cause of the problem.Thanks.Helpmech.

How do I remove the Radio/CD player

There are 4 holes on the radio (two on each side) that requires a special tool that has to be inserted on each side. You can purchase the tool at auto parts store. Insert the tool and pull the radio out.

I have a cd stuck in my cd player.. any tips for

Try turning the radio off and then disconnect the battery for 1 min. After reconnecting the battery, turn the radio on and this might reset the radio and the CD may come out. Good luck and hope this helps and just make sure the radio is off or the radio may ask for a radio code to have it functional again.

How do you take out the old radio in a 2000 Elantra?

There are two holes along each side of the radio unit. You need to insert a very stiff wire into all 4 holes at the same time to release a couple of clips. You can then use the wires for leverage to slide the radio out easily.

A special tool is sold for this purpose of course. I tried coat hangers bent into a 'U' shape but it was not stiff enough. I did have good luck however with a bag of cheap Garden Cloth Staples from the local hardware store. Just bend them a tad so they go straight and evenly into the holes until you feel a slight give and resistance then pull out the radio.

How do you remove the cd player from the dash in my 2005 malibu.

You DON'T...besides a built in security system, it most likely controls the function of OTHER things in the car...LIKE THE AIRBAG!
Take it to a car stereo installation shop and ask them to remove and install the radio you bought couldn't be more than $75 and it will save you alot of grief.
Good Luck

Cd not ajection

Welcome to the world of gm delco radios. I am a used car dealer in Canada and I deal mostly in trucks and suv's. Honestly I'd say 75% of the radios in Gm's don't work properly, the loading mechanism gets jammed when you try to eject and "check CD" appears. Unfortunately it's not the CD, and to save yourself any further heartbreak, rip the player out and get yourself a good quality Kenwood or the likes.
