Question about 2002 Jaguar X-Type
Light came on...few minutes later went off for a day...my break vibrated really hard at a red light then light came back on to stay
DSC is your dynamic stability control, you probably went over something really hard and caused a fault, this is a normal response. If the fault stays on disconnect the battery and leave for five mins then reconnect, if you still have the same robelem your DSC module is faulty, it is located on the rear axel it is a block with an arm connected to the axel mid way on the axel.
Has nothing to do with yor abs the juddering was probably you driving over something which triggered the fault.
hope this helps

I had same probs abs activating at low speed below 10mph it was abs rings ,
you can replace parts only aprox £75.00 each from jag agents the rear,s that is if your car have still got the origeonal,s on they are normaly well rusted and split at anything over70000 miles jags have a improved the replacements by coating the pick up rings with plastic to eliminate the rust and give them a longer life and they come as a complete cv joint

Sounds as if the abs is working may be a faulty sensor, check fault codes suspect rear sensor or ring
