Question about 2004 Ford F150
My 2004 F150 5.4L broke on my a couple days ago. All signs lead me to believe it was the fuel pump. It would crank, but wouldnt start. Put a fresh battery in it, still nothing. Checked all relays and whatnot, finally replaced the fuel pump. Problem now....same as before. When I turn the switch on, Im not hearing the fuel pump kick on, and it obviously still won't start. $350 bucks down the drain and Im not sure what else the problem might be. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated...
I had the same proplem, remove spare tire and on the crossmember above it,left side, there is a fuel pump drive module. Mine was corroded and got moister in it .replaced it and runs fine. dealer price 110.00 dollors

Check under the dash on the passenger side for a roll over switch. If the switch is tripped it will not allow the fuel pump to tuen on. Just reset the switch and the truck should start. The switch should be square white with a red button coming out of the top if it. To reset it just push the red button down and you will hear it click.

If you are talking about the Electronic Fuel Controller, this is in the rear of the truck, on the cross member where the spare tire is at ( drop the spare to see it easier ).
Here is a picture of it :
Should be ~ 110.00 to buy a new one ( less online ) and a few min to install.
Install the new one with some washers as spacers, so this does not happen again.
This is assuming you checked the Fuel inertia switch and the fuel pump fuse and relay

My 05 is doing the same thing. I use starting fluid to start it and it runs great, when I shut it off it starts up again then dies right away. Does anyone have anymore info on the fuel pump drive module that was mentioned? Thanks
