Pull wiper up off screen and place a sheet of ply or cardboard on screen in case it flicks down with no blade on end of arm.holding blade /arm assembly turn blade horizontal to arm then push down on bottom of the plastic clip on the end of the arm at the end of the U piece and slide down towards bottom then when free push whole thing up at an angle to clear the U on the end of the arm.shouldnt take more than a minute to do.takes longer to write about it happy new year

I have a 2005 kia amanti ineed to know how to get to the wiper motor

you need to remove the wiper arms, the black plastic cowl- It's in 2 parts. there is also a weatherstrip that has push pins holding it and the front of the cowl. Once you get those off you will see the wiper transmission it is held in with a couple 10mm bolts. once the assembly is removed you can then see the wiper motor. Just remember once you change it over you need to time the motor if done wrong the wiper blades will just go down instead of going across the windshield.

The bar that connects to the arm that connects to the motor came off. Remove wiper motor to get to that connection, Autozone will have that part in there (help) line.

96 Ford Explorer driver side wiper stopped working and just flops around with no tension holding it in place. Is there only one motor? if so maybe the arm came loose. Passenger side works fine.

one motor, remove the arm & hope the rotating asy isn't worn smooth. if it is you will have to remove both wiper arms & the front cowl then replace all the worn parts & reassemble the vehicle
