Question about 2004 Volkswagen Jetta
Battery tested ok, epc light comes on, there is no noise at all when turning key, need to have it towed to dealer?
These motors suffer from dodgy starter contacts on the ignition switch, turn key and all lights on,push car and it starts ok but no starter motor.??these switches are dear as its a complete unit with steering lock,if this is the fault then fit an old fashioned push button switch on dash ---sorted.If you say epc light on then this is immobiliser ,try spare key if that dont work then its a dealer job to reset immobiliser unless someone knows how to by-pass it.Havent done one yet so i dont know how too,but i itching to get my diesel oil covered grimed in black hands on one to try and pit my wit against a four eyed nerd that invented the immobiliser system.
