I can't figure out how to set the timing on my 05 hyundai santa fe, dual overhead cam 2.7l

Thats beacause you cant. The timing is computer controlled. If the timing was an issue you would havea code indicating it.

How do you set the timeing i have a timeing light

What engine do you have? If it wont start, you cant check the timing. What makes you think the timing is off? If your car doesnt have a distributor, you cant adjust the timing. If it wont start you need to figure out if it has spark, fuel, and compression, one is missing.
