My 2004 Mazda V- 6 EGR valve blew out the side. I

The fact that the EGR valve "blew out" may indicate excessive exhaust pressure. You could have a partially blocked catalytic converter. This will cause excessive back pressure and loss of power on acceleration.

cleanout egr valve and troutle body . Or replace egr with new one, clean, check vacumm lines , check for clogged check , depending on modle of car you can pippoint problem as some have a common part problem depeding with make of car. But all have to do with exaust system. Insufficient flow exaust flow. Im not an expert, all I know it is related to this, I have it myself so im googling it.

1996 GMC Sonoma Acceleration problem!

If the check engine light is on I would have that checked first. The trouble codes in the computer will help point you in the right direction for troubleshooting.
You could have a sticking fuel injector, or an ignition problem, or both.

96 sonoma running too rich with p1406 code

P1406 EGR Valve Pintle Position Circuit Fault
This code is usually caused by carbon buildup in the EGR valve. The carbon deposits prevent the valve from closing completely.

After removing the EGR valve, clean the pintle seat area of the valve and the corresponding passageway in the engine.

or simply replace the EGR valve.

Hope this helps!
