Hi,

The jiggle method is not enough you have to look at the wires. I just did and I found out that all six wires were broken close to the splice. That splice is located close to the back seat.

Hope it hepls.

SOURCE: Reversing lights don't work.

On the side of your transmission will be a switch with several wires coming out of it. This is your reverse switch that turns on your reverse lights and most likely needs to be replaced

SOURCE: rear lights not working

Toyotas sometimes have multiple power wires coming off of the battery to fuse blocks. One of these wires may be broken. Electrical schematics are available on-line or in repair manuals. If you don't have one, go to the library and look in the repair manual section.

SOURCE: brake lights not working,

Assuming the wiring to the brake lights is serviceable, you will find that the brake light switch, which is activated by the brake pedal for the brake lights, will have failed and will need to be replaced.

Just ensure you first replace the fuse and both brake light bulbs as an initial step and then re-check to ensure you still have no lights.

My 2005 tail lights are not working the hazards, reverse and brake lights work I replaced the bulbs which fuse am I looking for?

it seems that the problem is not with the bulbs themselves, but rather with the fuse that controls the tail lights. Here are some steps you can take to diagnose and fix the issue:

Check the fuse box: The first thing you should do is check the fuse box to see if any of the fuses have blown. In particular, you should look for fuse #7, which controls the tail lights on your 2005 vehicle1. If you find that this fuse has blown, you will need to replace it with a new one.

Check the wiring: If the fuse is not the problem, then you should check the wiring that connects to your tail lights. Look for any signs of damage or corrosion, and make sure that all of the connections are secure.

Check the light switch: If neither of these steps solves the problem, then you may need to check your light switch. Specifically, you should check for 12 volts on the pink wire1. If it's missing, check for 12 volts on both sides of fuse #71. Also check if the dome lights work. If they do, fuse # 7 has to be okay.

Have a Toyota Tacoma truck tail lights not working brake lights work fuses are good bulbs are goodbut no tail lights

In trucks, it's very common for the wiring harness to get pinched where the bed and the cabin come together. This leads to problems with the rear lights.
Anytime you're dealing with lights:
  1. Check bulbs, then
  2. check fuses, then
  3. check wires

2004 honda crv brake lights don't work

Did you check the fuses with a test light? A fuse can look OK, but unless you test continuity or use a test light, you could be mislead.

My brake lights work but my tail lights and reverse lights don't work. Also my dash lights quit when I changed the switch for my headlights.

Check your fuses. I had the same problem with a 90 Honda civic. Dash lights went out, tail lights also went out. Replaced 1 fuse and all came back on.

1997 Subaru Impreza Tail lights work but brake lights don't even though the Hatch brake light is working

Hi,
So, both sides are not working? Check for voltage @ the brake light bulb to see if you're getting power. Also, look in the fuses.

check out the online Subaru forums, too.
