Question about 2005 Hyundai Elantra
Cig lighter not working and data link won't read scanner The cigarette lighter and outlet aren't working on my 2005 Hyundai Elantra. I have a feeling that the dealer or a mechanic may charge a ridiculous amount for something that might be a simple fix. How do you change the fuse?
There is a little fuse located behind the coins tray below the ac vent. when mine had the same problem the electrician had pulled out this tray and rplaced that fuse.

This is also the location for the Elantra 2001. You can wiggle the coin tray out and on the back of it is a fuse diagram for the panel. A big thanks to claudettesad!!! Other posts tell you to look elsewhere and the owner's manual says nothing about its location.
In the engine compartment there is also a large black covered fuse box (labelled as such) to the right when facing the engine. I mention this because it contains a white fuse puller that you can use to pull a fuse out of the panel behind the coin tray.
