Question about 2005 Ford F-150

No heat only blows cold air in my 02, F150

I don't drive my F150 often, for I have another truck for work, so I don't realy know when the above problem actualy started, for I only noticed the problem yesterday.

    The Rad is full, temp gauge indicated engine at proper operating temp, coolant looks clean, thermostat is new,



    Any other suggestions?

    both hoses seem to be hot, they are hotter then the rad hoses. I have 123000km on the truck

    I will get back to you on the last question, we had company this evening, I will check out your last question on Sunday afternoon, but from what I did check the hoses where quite hot.

    The hoses are hot, so, according to you response we should be looking at the heater doors. I will be waiting for your response with regards to my next step.

    Ok quick question, my ducts are sticking, and it only blows cold air until I bang on the dash then it will switch over, does anyone know if it is just getting hung up or is there an electrical or vacuum line somewhere??? Thanks 99 f-150

Hi my name is Allen, the first thing you need to do is check the coolant level in your radiator, if it is low, fill it and run the engine with the Radiator Cap Off and remove all air from the system. If the Radiator is full you may contact us for further help! This is where you must start before moving to the next possible cause.

    OK do this, get the engine to operating temperature, after the engine gets hot grab one side of the heater-core hose then grab the other side. If you cannot hold on to the hose very long because of the heat then the underhood operation is good, but if one side of the hose is hot and the other is luke warm then you have a restricted heater core. Check this out and let me know what you find!



    Also how many miles is on the vehicle?

    Can you hold onto the hoses, because you should have to let go of the hoses because they are to hot to hold.



    If you can not hold on to them then your heater core is getting sufficient hot water and is working properly, so we need to move inside the vehicle to see if the A/C and Heater doors are working properly.

    Hi George



    Here is what I need you to do!



    Move the mode selector to each mode, floor, defrost, panel, etc.

    Let me know if it changes to all the mode after checking the rest of this procedure.



    Next: put the mode on panel where it is coming out of the front vents, turn the blower on high, with the temp mode all the way to cold.



    Next: pay close attention to the air flow through the vents with your hand in front of it and also listening for wind change, turn the temp door all the way to hot, the air flow should get less air through the vents, and wind sound should get lower.



    let me know what you find, then we will move to the next procedure!

The heater in my 2002 Mercedes ML500 only blows cold air (air temperature) and the AC as well. The middle vent is not blowing at all.

My heater does not blow in floor in a dodgeram 1500


the heater vacuum motor and lines needs to be checked.Also get the blend door checked.

Heating system blowing cold air


1- Check the coolant level. Is the reservoir showing full cold or hot level?
2- is the car at full operating temperature?

If the car is at full temp and the coolant is full you likely have a stuck/broken thermostat.

Ac blows hot air comp is running


Make sure that the tubing around the accumulator is getting cold.
If not, the refrigerant may not be charged up.
Otherwise, the vacuum motor for selecting cold air may be not working correctly causing heated air from the heater core to be routed to the interior of the car.

Do you hear the vacuum motors working when adjusting the heat to cold selector? or changing the thermostat temperature if so equipped?
