Question about 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago

1 Answer

Murcielago e-gear leaking

I have a 2005 Murcielago Roadster eGear. Today I was driving it and forgot to disengage the e brake. I drove for approx 1/4 mile at no more than 35 MPH. Smoke started coming from the engine compartment i pulled the car over turned it off and there was what appeared to be hydraulic fluid coming from dead center of the car. It was also stuck in 4th gear according to the dash and nothing will make it go back to neutral and of course it will not start. Can someone please tell me what I may have wreaked here? what uses hydraulic fluid that would have been destroyed this easily?

Hi
I expect you have had the problem fixed by now, as I see it was posted on the 27 Dec O8.?

I expect it was coolant that was leaking ?

And this has perhaps shorted the electrics on the transmission ECU ?

Good Luck

Don´t forget to give me a rating thanks.

John.

You dont say if you have manual 4 wheel drive or electronic on the fly. Anyway, if you have the electronic knob, sometimes ice will get into the 4 wheel drive solenoid and cause it to not move into position. If you can get into a warm garage or underground parking for about an hour, you will see if it thaws and starts to work again.

How do i disengae from four wheel drive

At best as I know the 2005 Prado is all time 4WD vehicle.
Is the engine running ? Can you shift the gears ?
May be something is broken in the drive train...
As a suggestion you can go home by locking the centre differential, proceeding at low speed and checking for noises .
Pls. let me know if it helps...

If the caliper is not defective, it could be the rubber flex hose going to the caliper.

My 2003 Ford Focus Zetec engine, I think either the clutch is going out or maybe just needs fluid. It doesn't want to really go anymore, slow to get up to speed. How and where would I check the fluid on...

If you were low on clutch fluid the clutch would not disengage, it would not cause the car to be slow, but it would be difficult or impossible for you to change gears. If you feel the clutch slipping while driving, either the clutch disk and/or pressure plate are worn, or possibly have oil in then from a leaking engine or transmission seal.

I have a 2002 Liberty 4x4 and today when I tried to put it in four wheel I drove forward afterwards, but if you try to turn the car acts like it will not go at all.

That is normal for four wheel drive vehicles on hard non slip ground. The front wheels when four wheel drive is engaged will act like a brake if they are turned almost all the way to the left or right. When the two wheel drive is disengaged it will drive normally again.

Check the E-Brake, make sure that the ebrake is not engaged and that it is fully disengaging. If that is not the problem, then there is something with the brake calipers or rotors that are not allowing your brakes to fully disengage
