Battery is fine, it seem's to either be a fuse (inline posibly) or one of the relay's, my porblem though is finding the location of the inline fueses, have a good manual but doesn't seem to show me location's.

SOURCE: no power to fuel pump

What you need to do is drop the fuel tank and put a new fuel pump in it. I would drain the gas and put new gas in after you get the pump changed.

SOURCE: 1997 Neon dies, starts after electric fuel pump relay swapped

Hello, I would assume this is your fuel pump inside your tank. I would first however do some basics like a general tuneup. For starters I would replace your spark plugs and wires, rotary cap and button and check your fuses. Run some injector cleaner through your system. You know quick simple cheap things before you get to the fuel pump inside the gas tank which can be kinda expensive. The warm up then dies can be caused by, "blownout or fouled," spark plugs. I hope this gives you a general direction in which to go. A sidenote is that coil packs do not normally run an igntion code and I for one do not like them becuase they are expensive.

SOURCE: 1998 Neon. Fuel pump problems...

Has the car been running one day and won't start the next and thats why you replaced those parts? This may be the distributor ignition modual later then when it is going out can act like its got demon in it. This modualator will shut power down to your fuel pump.

Now you can try something first though. Run a wire from a hot wire to the fuel pump and see if it will start and run while that wire is hooked up.
If it does then you can find a wire that only becomes hot when the key is turned on so the pump won't run all the time and only when the car is running. This is called gerry riggen in the service and not the proper way to do it. You may get an engine line on because of it too which will put the computer into trouble mode and cut your power down. But maybe not. Try it and see what takes place. If it still won't start then we need to look into testing the ignition modualator. Keep me informed and I will be glad to help you in the matter as well. Raz

Replaced the fuel pump and filter on a 2001 pontiac grand am se. car wont start is there anything else or filter keeping the gas from going to the engine?

dont know if I can help but make sure the fuel pump comes on for a few seconds when you turn the ignition on if not check the relay under the hood you may need someone to help with this there are 4 terminals when you pull the relay out one will have power all the time with the key on another one will have power for a few seconds when you first turn the ignition on if you have power there and the fuel pump dosent run at all the relay may be bad you can also check the connection by the fuel tank for power when you turn the ignition on also I just put a fuel pump in my sons 2000 grand am and it did not start after I put the pump in but I could hear the pump running but we had only put a couple of gallons of gas in so I put another 3 gallons of gas in and it started I also just put a pump in my daughters 2001 grand am and it started right away but I had put 5 gallons of gas in right away You can also see if there is fuel pressure at the fuel rail on the right side or passenger side of the engine there is a connection to check fuel pressure you can take the cap off and use a screwdriver to push the valvestem in to see if there is fuel there and any pressure. if you have power to the fuel pump and plenty of gas and the pump wont run try hitting the bottom of the fuel tank under the fuel pump with a ribber hammer

We have a 1993 jeep grand cherokee laredo it has and been running great until this weekend. Here's how it started, we where going down the road and then out of know where after driving around all day...

There is a relay box under the hood. See if the fuel pump relay is marked there and swap it with the A/C or horn relay. If this works to run the pump, buy a new relay. If not, please get back to me for troubleshooting procedures.

1998 gmc 2500 sle 5.7 wont stay running

Theres only one fuel pump relay, unless you have dual tanks. Be sure you have 55-60 psi fuel pressure. I "think" the oil pressure switch supplies power to the fuel pump after the engine is running.

Engine cranks but won't start

If it is an electrical Fuel Pump, you will hear the pump whirring as soon as you turn the key to "ON". If you can't hear it, the fuel pump is bad. If it is a mechanical fuel pump on the engine, remove the hose that goes into the carburator. And crank the engine. It should pump the gas out without a problem. If it does not, the fuel pump is bad. Also check the relay to the fuel pump and the shutoff valve. It is more likely that it is a relay problem since it hits a bump and goes off then it carries a current again. Probably a bad relay under the hood for the fuel system.

Help w 1994 chevrolet truck

This injector set-up needs a specific fuel pressure supplied to the fuel rail to even start, much less run properly. The fuel pump is immersed in fuel inside the gas tank to keep it cool and not burn up. Running the fuel level low causes more heat in the pump and interuptions in proper fuel pressure. AC/Delco pumps have proven to be a reliable fix, the aftermarket pumps only last for a month or two sometimes. Check fuel pressure under the hood and power and ground to fuel pump at electrical harness at top of gas tank. This truck needs a fuel pump.

My 2001 cavalier ran out of gas, and now it wont start after putting gas in the tank. the engine cranks but wont start. could it be the pump?

You will need to check the fuel pressure. You will have a connection on the fuel line to the motor under the hood. No fuel pressure indicates one of three problems. Fuse in fuse box, relay in relay box under the hood or fuel pump located in fuel tank.
