SOURCE: Toyota avensis 2002 1798cc, headlights beam is low need to raise

you need to bring it to a garage with a headlight alignment machine to pass an MOT. ensure the headlight position switch (on the right hand side of the dash) is set to "0"

SOURCE: 05 Renault Grand Scenic. No dipped headlights. Bulbs and fuses OK

Are u sure that the bulbs are OK? I had no dipped lights on mine, & thought it must be a fuse or another electrical fault. It turned out, both bulbs had gone. I think this often happens when one side goes, the other soon follows.

1998 Ford Escort dashboard warning lights and gauges not working.

Sounds like possibly the ignition switch is going out. Try jiggling the key in the ignition in the on position and see if your lights come back on.

No dipped beam headlights on audi a4 1,9td 2003

Check up dipped beam headlights fuse inside fuse box. For Audi A4 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram. If the dipped beam headlights fuse is OK, check up dipped beam headlights bulbs.

My peugeot 307 '53 reg, has really bad lights when on dip.

the reflectors and/or the lenses are poor. if the lamps look frosted on the lenses? i think they are plastic then they get tiny chips and can reduce the light output. polish them with a mild abrasive like tcut or brasso till they look like glass again other than that you may have a electrical problem

Car headlights. I have replaced the two dipped headlight bulbs as the old bulbs stopped working. They are now very dim when on dipped, and are only as bright as the side lights. The Full beams are...

It's actually VERY unlikely for BOTH bulbs to go at the same time - sounds like you have a wiring problem (loose connector somewhere or wire trapped and abraided ...) ....

See if you can follow the wires from the light clusters across the engine compartment (will be after the two sets 'join up' since both bulbs are effected) .. if you can't find an obvious break / connectror, you will have to take it to a garage ..

(If only one light went & you changed both, did you fit the right 'wattage' bulbs ??)

Head lights wont turn off

if you are saying the front side lights are going off but the headlights remain on ? then could you try this ? put the h/lights on main beam mode then whilst on main beam turn off lights if h/lights go off now ? then with lights still off put onto dipped beam with the switch/stick if h/light come on it is most probably the dipped beam headlights relay that has gone faulty as the h/lights have 2x relays 1for dip +1 for main beam if the above does not make any difference ? it may well be the switch assy hope this helps
