One or more of your brake rotors are warped. this JUST happens. especialy from prolonged braking down hills(overheats the rotors)
the solution is to find which one is warped, and replace the rotor with a new one,OR replace all four, along with new brake pads.....

If your steering wheel is shaking when you apply your brakes then the brake rotors need to be machined or replaced before they are machined ask the mechanic to check if they are under size if they are very close to the min size replace them it will save you money in the long run

possible cause hot brakes on car the driving threw snow , water or car wash

My miata shakes at 40 mph

Although you didn't say if it feels like the shaking is coming from a wheel, it sounds to me like you have a bad tire even though they are new. Take it back to where you got the tires and have them take a look. If they can't see anything, ask them to take it for spin.

What is the cause of continual thumping (appears to be coming from back of car) and violently shaking?

Many times, rear tires that are out of round or severely cupped or feathered, or that are out of balance can create this type of issue. My first recommendation would be to have them and the wheels on the rear of the car inspected. There may not seem like there is much wrong visibly if you look at just the tread of the tires, but a good tire tech can spin them up and give you some solutions, and the inspection itself is inexpensive. Hope this helps.

My sons' 08 jetta is in Chicago. (very cold there) His low tire pressure light on the dashboard lit up. what should he do?

Hello: Check tire pressure, Proper pressure should be on a label on the driver door and door frame. If tires are low, air them up to spec's. If only one tire is low you should check it for a puncture.

"!" Indicator light on 2008 Chev Trailblazer

If the ! symbol you saw is inside a circle enclosed in parentheses like (O), and usually red in color, that's for your brake fluid. Check it out, maybe its low on fluid. If it is, check for fluid leaks or worn brakepads. Usually the ! symbol coincides with the P symbol and also red in color. When the park brake is engaged, both these symbols appear together. If you release the park brake, both indicators should turn off under normal conditions, otherwise either of the two or both will stay on when there is insufficient fluid or there's a parking brake circuit fault. Brakes are very important, so give proper attention and solution if ever these indicators lightb up when they shoud not.
If the ! symbol is very bold and inside a half drawn flat tire, and yellow in color, thats the tire pressure monitor indicator. Check and balance all four tire pressures to the correct specification.
Okay, sir? have a safe trip. : )

Car steering wheel shakes when i brake have had a slow leak with a tire for a month changed tire and still the tire goes flat

shaking could be a brake rotor problem, and the tire probably leaks at the rim or the valve stem

I don't know what a particular warning light is. It came on today; it looks like a circle with little lines coming out of it. Sort of like a "light bulb" idea symbol.

a circle with an exclamation mark is usually the low tire indicator (that symbol is a tire and a tire gauge). sometimes when the temperature drops down, one of the tires will show up as low & later in the trip when the tire warms up, it will read correctly. Or, you can just have oone that is too low & need air. good luck
