Thanks, just found it, while checking for power at the switch and at the Blower Motor, i found one of the Connections to the Blower Motor Had Melted the Contact, so i Cut the wire, and Re-installed New connector, works great now. Thanks for your Reply.

Check power at the plug of the blower motor and if you have power but no blower then replace the blower. if you have no power and no blower, check for an open circuit at the switch or if your vehicle has a relay check there.

ps dont forget to rate my answer if you could. Thanks

SOURCE: Heater Blower

have you turned on the switch and checked for power at the blower plug? if so and you have power there then it is a blower motor if not then check fuse under dash and fusable link under hood around blower motor someplace close.

2000 escort diesel van.interior heater has stopped working, checked fuse and its not that.any ideas ? any thoughts.cheers

likely your blower motor. but take connector off at blower, key on, htr on high. should have power at connector. check with a test light. If power is present, its your blower. If no power, and fuse is good, it's a wiring issue or your heater blower switch on the dash.

Heater stopped working suddenly, fuses are okay.

if your fan (blower motor) stopped working, more likely is the blower motor resistor, is locate it close to the blower motor. if the blower motor is ok, maybe your heater core is cloged.

My son drives a 1991 ford escort. The heater/defroster has stopped working. Fan does not work either. A fuse maybe?

Check fuses (cheap), blower switch/resistor (about 20 bucks), blower(about 50 bucks).

Blower on the heater/AC not working on 1998 Escort, checked fuse under dash?

Ok, first off, check the fuses under the dash. If they're all good, does the blower work only on high speed? If yes, then you have a bad blower motor resistor, which is located under the hood, near the blower motor itself. If the motor doesnt work at all at any fan speed, make sure the wiring harness that plugs into the motor under the hood is clean and tightly installed. If it still doesnt operate, sometimes tapping on the blower motor housing will kick it on, but if that doesnt work, you may have to replace the blower motor. They are available aftermarket, and arent usually too expensive.

Hi,

To my knowledge most 1999 Ford Escort versions do not have a fuse for the A/C-Heater blower, rather it has a circuit breaker.

It would be among the fuses (top left) of the fuse bank that plugs in but is not a fuse.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
