Car makes loud humming/whistling noise from under the rear by fuel tank/pump then car kills.

I purchased this car in May of this year (2012) with a fuel problem. Sent it to a shop and had to replace the injectors and fuel pressure regulator. Car worked amazingly until a few weeks later when it started losing power little by little. Soon it was impossible to run the a/c while driving. At stop lights or signs, I had to turn the a/c off to give the car a little more power to go. Now the car runs badly, shakes and makes a loud humming/whistling sound from under the rear end. The louder it gets the more power the car loses soon it becomes impossible to accelerate and it just kills. The guy who owned the care before me said he's had the fuel pump changed 3 times. Can someone please help me, the car is really a great car but it's driving me crazy. It only has 65K miles. It's 3300 v6 motor. Here's a list of things I've had changed since buying the car in May 2012. * Fuel Pressure Regulator * Fuel Injectors (all 6) * Fuel Filter * Spark Plugs * Spark Plug Wires * Coil Packs (all 3) SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!

You describe a failing fuel pump. The fact he had it changed 3 times tells me the quality of the pumps was not great, or there is a problem with venting or something else.
If he did not change the fuel filter the pump would fail quickly. Since you changed the filter the next pump may last a long time.
A quality brand makes a big difference in this component.

most likely idle air control sensor or low engine coolant I know sounds funny but IAC uses coolant to regulate idle. Idle air control valve or throttle body positioning sensor.

SOURCE: Vehicle dies while driving down the road.

could it be the A/C pump kicking in. might be boging down the motor or electrical circuit, not letting the injectors get enough power. This could happen if the bearings are going bad in th A/C pump or there is a short in it. Just an idea. sounds like you have done the main components.

Car will not start and when key is on making a humming noise. what is that?

Could be the fuel pump. Any fuel leaks? If so, stop and see a qualified mechanic.
Is the sound coming from the rear of the car? Open the gas cap and listen at the fuel intake. Is the sound louder? If so, the fuel pump may have a rotted line attached to the fuel pump in the tank.
If he sound is coming from the dash or under the hood it could be a number of other issues.

Fuel Pump

A humming noise in the gas tank is usually a failing fuel pump.
The pump uses liquid gasoline to keep it cool and lubricated.

Rear car driver side noise when there is gas in the tank and when pushing gas pedal

The problem you are discribing could well be the impending failure of the fuel pump I am assuming that this is a late model fuel injected car . The noise is transfered by the fuel in the tank . Have a tech check and make sure you have only a small amount of fuel in the tank when getting the pump replaced as the gas tank must be removed in order to replace the pump . Hope this is some help

What turns on in right rear of my 2006 Denali when it is started?

Sure wish I had a little more information, I could give a more detailed answer.
The fuel pump is in the fuel tank. Often it makes a little humming noise and if the pump starts to go bad, the noise can get quite loud.

Humming from under gas tank resulting in dead battery, 1989 Ford

Sounds like a fuel pump causing noise. If the noise is still present with the key off then the fuel pump relay is stuck causing the battery to die.

Fuel pump

There's several ways to check the pump and none are really difficult. First, make sure the car radio is off and there is no loud background sounds. Turn the key to the ON position, but don't crank the motor. There should be a humming sound coming from the gas tank. The hum is only about 2 or 3 seconds long, so be ready to listen.

If there is no hum, check the fuse under the dash. It's labeled "FP/INJ2" If the fuse is not blown, check the fuel pressure valve on the intake manifold. It's located under the injection plant towards the back of the manifold. Have someone crank the engine as you operate the valve.

If there is no fuel there, there is an inline fuse located SOMEWHERE under the body of the car. If the pump gets too hot, it will blow to save a potential fire. (I discovered too late that the in tank pumps can overheat if they are not submersed in gas. Keep the tank over 1/4 tank to make sure this doesn't happen)

If all fuses are good, but the pump doesn't hum, the pump is dead.

I hope this helps you out.
