There is no Transmission oil check on Audi's, What I mean is that you have to bring it to a shop for them to check it. Totally retarded but I have the same issue I cannot check mine and I have a 2000 Audi A4 2.8L

Power steering hi i have a saab 95 year 1999 when turning all the steering till the end the rpms drop and oil light turns on. either engine oil and steerng are at level. while driving nothing happens, and...

Possible fault areas; oil pressure sender not accurate,
low oil pump pressure output,
RPM dropping below 300rpm under load,
computer not compensating fast enough,
dirty throttle body,
oil viscosity too thin,
I would probably start with an oil change going with a thicker grade especially if you have high mileage.

Accelerating uphill

loses power
well if the RPM advances fast on engine and the car speed dont
that is tranny slip.
on the other hand if the engine RPM stays low, and speed is low that
is engine power loose.
2 completly different things, why not ask him which it is.
is my engine weak or is the the tranny slipping.
surely you know what slip means. right>?
like bumping in to neutral , under power. or partially
ENGINE RPM state that, going up said hill WOT
and can tell you.

2008 Element. Runs like a charm, just had its BIG tuneup done this spring (tires, timing belt, etc). Makes a VERY intermittent high-pitched whine. Doesn't seem connected to anything-not just when cold,...

still bad? doing old zero answer posts. (my bag)
finding noise is hard, and takes skills and can be dangerous.
my guess ????? it makes noise only moving.????
only clue is front, and presume outside of car and not under dash.

if car makes noise moving only, it can be dangerous , driving or even trouble shooting.
does it make noise in turns, or bumps,or loads (hills) or in all gears. or down hill, or coasting.?????
when it starts, does letting of throttle stop it, or more throttle>
or down shifting.? or cutting throttle and shifting to neutral.
I added many check to Doesn't seem connected to anything

my guess is the whine will progress to full time, many times this is true.

good FSM cover noise, here is more.
(tools can do wonders.)

Car: 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX. feels like losing power on uphill drive, and when given more gas, something smells like burning..

It may be the transmission is slipping under load. Check the transmission oil.If the oil is a dark colour and smells burnt
this is probably the problem.

While driving there are skips in the accelaration. Its like all of a sudden I'm in neutral for like a second or two.

check your transmission fluid, if the level is ok you might need to have the bands tightened.
