Better if you look for a fuse, i work on them and never heard of a reset button, lol. make sure arm is not slipping on shaft and motor is really all the way stopped, if fuse is ok the mostlikely cause i have seen is the motor, you can pull down the back panel and turn on wiper and tap on motor to see if it starts taking off, this may or may not work but worth the try, if does not work unplug the wire to the motor and put a test lamp on the positive and negative sides to see it the power and ground is getting to motor but i would suspect your looking at a motor.

The wipers on my 2002 Buick century work properly except when they are turned off. Instead of returning to the park position they stop vertically in the center of the windshield. How do I correct this?

replace the wiper motor, the park on shut off circuit has gone awry. buy a repair book or look for videos on youtube.com as to removal and replacement.

Wipers stop in middle of windshield when turned off - Century 2002 tried nothing thus far

The control board on the wiper motor has ametal "stop" that got bent.
This usually happens when the wipers are stuck ( frozen from ice?) and turned on.
This can be readjusted bu bending back to original position or replacing the control board
About $35 for part

Resetting wiper arms. Ice damage

Well pop the two little black plastic top hats off of the wiper arm mounts and losen the nuts. Turn your wipers off and tighten them in the lower position. There should be visible mark on the widshield where the wipers have spent most of there time sitting. If you have them to low when you turn them on you will be able to tell by how high the go up on the windshield.Well hope this helped.

1998 buick regal winsheild wipers will not sit in theoff position wipe winshield one last time comes back up and stops in middle of windshield

Does the wiper still make noise like it is trying to go? If so open the cap where is attached and tighten the nut on the wiper. If does not make noise you will need a wiper motor.
