I have found the most common part failure issue with the ignition system is the crank sensor, also called by some the TDC sensor.

SOURCE: 94 buick regal grand sport

sounds like the same thing that was wrong with the 94 GS i recently bought. found the crankshaft postion sensor to be bad. it controls your electronic spark timing which would allow it to turn over with out starting.
also does your stall when you are stopped and at idle or while at driving speed or both? mine would stall at idle and driving speeds. Changed that sensor and have not had any more issues with stalling. sensor should cost around $30-$40 dollars at your local autozone, takes about 2 hours to change just need to pull the harmonic balancer pulley (make sure to use the proper tool or you will bend the pulley) and the sensor is behind the pulley. you will gain easier access to doing the maintenace buy removing the passenger front tire and the little splash gaurd directly behind the tire held on by 3 quick release fasteners. hope this helps you out.

disconnect you battery. take something and fray back the plastic on the main hot wire on the coil. take another wire and wrapp it to the main wire you just frayed. now take that wire and run it to you ignition fuse. re connect you battery and see if your vehicle will start. if so than you have either a break or a short in you hot wire for your coil.

95 Buick Regal will not crank when engine warm wait 20 or so minutes and it will crank what causes this issue.?

Define crank ? Does the engine spin when you turn the key to the start position ? This is referred to as engine cranks . now yours won't start an run ! This is a cranks no start condition ! When it won't start an run check for spark at a coil , your vehicle has three if a V-6 . Pull both plug wires off same coil an crank engine , is there spark ? Yes - No . No spark , ignition module could be bad , crankshaft position sensor , Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

1995 ford 4.9 stright 6 runs for a couple min then dies

The parts you replaced don't typically fail due to heat/cold cycles. You need to see if it might be the ignition coil.Make the coil easily accessable(take of the engine cover).Have a 12v test light and some sort of spark tester handy.Start the engine, let it run until it quits.See if you have spark at the coil.If not, unplug the low voltage connector on the coil, and put the test light across the connector, and crank the engine. The light should flash on and off.If it does, replace the ignition coil. If it doesn't flash, you may have a bad crank sensor, but this usually won't make it shut off, instead,it will cause it not to restart after heat soaking for a couple minutes.(I'm betting on the igniton coil).

I have power through my engine but don't have

Try replacing the lead from the distributor cap to the ignition coil.

I have exactly the same problem !

Need location of ecm/ecu on 88-93 buick regal. parked car next day would not start,no spark , center coil bad , replaced it car ran fine for about 2 weeks, now car won't start no spark but coils test good,...

my name is David ,I live in Austin Texas and do alot of mecchanic / technician work around town. I do have my certifications and have work at dealerships and Autozone as well...with all that being said... if you are not getting spark on this vehicleand it is not likely the coils or the module. The crank position sensor the device responsible for reading the angle ( timing ) of the crankshaft. The crankshaft has notches in it that pass either through or near the crank position sensors magnetic tip. The ignition module then interprets the signal and allows signal ( electrical current) to pass into module and on to ignition coils...then on to spark plugs via spark plug wires/cables. The crank position sensor is located on the back side of the engine in the gap between the engine and transmission housing. it is held in place by one 8mm (metric size) or 5/16 standard size bolt. Use a wrench though unless you have small hands or a 1/4 drive socket set. 9.99 times out of ten it will start if there are no other issues... your welcome

Saab 95 1998 - wont start

The most common problem is the Direct ignition cassette, followed by the crankshaft position sensor. I am assuming that it cranks, but won't start.

95 Buick Fuel Pump, or Filter?

do you have a dis system(direct ignition system)? If you do it is probably your crank sensor. If you don't it could be your ignition coil or distributor. You could tap on the crank sensor while starting this could help.
