Question about 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee

How do I change the parking lightbulb?

I am having trouble getting the casing off the front right of my 1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, to get in there to replace the bulb. I can pry it part ways out, but it won't come out any farther so I can reach the bulb. What is the trick?

Thanks for your help.

In prying, I hope that you removed the screws first!!! Likely, there is one that you missed. Park light& turn signal light are connected to the housing around the headlight. When removing it, make sure you don't turn the adjusting screws for the headlight itself! The light socket turns 1/4 turn to left to disengage it. Be careful not to break bulb or you will cut yourself.. On some bulbs, match the small nubs in the sides of the brass part of the bulb to the slots in the socket. they are not the same (one high, one low) Use wd40 if socket is rusted to bulb.
That's about all I can tell you without going there & doing it for you!!!
Good luck!

How do you remove the front drive shaft in a 1995 jeep grand cherokee limited

Use white paint, chalk or a scribe to mark the relationship of the front U joint to the front diferential pinion yoke. Mark the relationship of the rear U joint flange to the transfer case companion flange. Unbolt the front end of the drive shaft from the pinion yoke and the rear end from the transfer case companion flange and remove the drive shaft from the vehicle.
hope thei info helps.

Remove front Rotors

To remove the front rotors, you first need to support the vehicle with a jack stand. Then remove the wheel.
Once the wheel is out of the way you need to take the two bolts off of the backside of the caliper, then compress the caliper and lift it off of the rotor.
Now you should be able to easily remove the rotor from the Jeep.

2000 jeep GC limited front axle problems

First thing to test is to see if the front driveshaft is getting engaged from the transfer case. With the vehicle in 4x4, and engine shut off, and in park, crawl under and try to turn the front driveshaft by hand. The driveshaft looks like a pipe that runs from the transfer case, located just behind the engine/transmission, to the front differential. If it rotates by hand, there is a problem with the transfer case. Some Jeeps have a vacuum actuator on the front diff that slides a collar inside the axle tube to engage it. I will watch for you findings, and you can leave me another message, and I will be happy to chat back with you on your findings.

Look for the electrical plung switch which is usually at the front hood corners. Trace the wire back towards the latch.

My 1995 jeep grand cherokee limited is not starting, changed ignition coil, rotter and cap gave a full tune up and still nothing happend,is it the computer?

There is a known problem with the 'neutral starting switch' that has occurred in two of our several Jeeps. Try starting it in neutral and park both and 'jiggle' the selector while you are doing it.
