Question about 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis
I need to know what is bad in my car, battery new, reg/alternator- tested good, car is trying to start but sounds like starter doesnt have enough juice to do it , is it the starter relay the silinoid or the starter itself i need to replace? 1997 grand marquis
(oh secondary issue not sure if linked but may be -- blinker fuses has been popping every 2 days - short probably in trunk can that fry my relay button or is it a seperate issue?)
You may have a drain on the battery as well as trying to start the engine. You could try jumping a feed to the starter solenoid and see if it is more willing than usual. If it is - find the short. If not, it could be time for a new starter solenoid. They do get worn and covered in soot internally, and therefore make poor connection.

not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can
be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it
can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or
no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition
coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.
confirm the problem, the basic troubleshooting is required.
