Instead of removing the intake manifold and the the leaky manifold coolant hose, we simple place a 1" dia hose about 3" long with a **** down it so it can fit around the leaky coolant hose with two hose clamps and an agressive amount of "right stuff" silicone sealant and let stand for 24hrs which should fix the problem

Check the pass rear of the intake manifold where the heater hose comes from the heater core to the manifold. check the fitting for cracks

Coolant leaking at the top, rear of engine on a 1998 Lincoln Towncar

If you are in the cold freeze region then it can be FREEZE PLUGS or head gasket,

Freeze plugs prevent the coolant from cracking the block.

The only fix is to replace the freeze plugs.

My coolant was leaking from my 2002 Lincoln TownCar. We patched up the leak. Yet it still leaks closer to the center of the car. Do you know why it continues to leak?

sounds like the water pump is bad . when they go bad they have a weap hole and it leaks fluid from there. you can usually see this leak from under the car. hope this helps

this car is equiped with a jaguar engine. real big pain to work on. most likely either heater lines or a passage pipe in rear from head to head for coolant.

1992 Lincoln town car 4.6l

hi if you mean engine core plugs? as we know/call them in uk then yes! both on cyl heads and the more important (largest ) isbehind the flywheel this is the important one due to the cyl blck is the thinnest weaker part of the block/cooling system and should engine block freeze ??then this plug will pop out/leak as ice expands as you know? and consequently leak as ice melts? olso it is suseptible to rusting and eventually seep coolant hope this helps your querie ?
