Re: going in to alarm
The switch that is mounted to your key cylinder is most probably bad and it is not disabling your alarm when you open your door. this is the most likely cause, to get to it the door panel will have to be removed.

It sounds like your key is no longer programmed for your car, or your key battery is dead. First, try replacing the battery in the key. If that doesn't work you'll need to get the key reprogrammed from the dealer. To replace the battery: Open the key. In the groove where the key is stored there is a seam. Pry
with a flat head screw driver. The front half and back half will
separate. It doesn't come apart easy, usually takes a bit of prying. Then, take the
button end and the back part, and pull up at the seam. Start in the front and once it opens a little- try prying with a finger
nail around the edges.
Replace the battery with CR2032 - 3 vdc - Positive + side down. Hope that helps.
Is it factory alarm or aftermarket??. Try using the key to lock and unlock the doors driver and passenger then turn the ingnition on with the key and leave it in the key on engine off position for a few minutes and start the vehicle
We have a similar problem - it doesn't go off when we open the door,
but sometimes the alarm light stays on after we open the door and then
when we put the key in the ignition to start the car the alarm goes
off. The only thing we've found to shut the alarm off is to get out of
the car and put the key in the trunk manually and open the trunk. Then
after we've opened and closed the trunk, the alarm disables and then we
can unlock the doors (which I believe is the step where the alarm
disables) and then we can start the car without a problem.
