Question about 1999 Buick Park Avenue

When A/C is on heat comes out of the driver side

I have a 1999 Buick Park Avenue. When I turn on the A/C the passenger side vents gets the cold air coming out but heat comes out of the vents on the driver side of the car. Why is this happening?

I have a 99 Park Avenue and I had the same problem. The freon level was low.

Heating, AC and vent problem


The actuator door that is behind the dash that closes off the heater core from shooting hot air thru the vents might be your problem. When you turn on your ac the actuator shuts the door to prevent the air from flowing thru the heater core into the cabin, this may be your problem if everything else is working properly. Let us know.

i just bought a 98 park ave and i had the iossue of hot on passenger side and cold out the driv ers i was told i had to replace the control head and both accuators...... i did a trani flush and it fixe my problem

Heater blows hot on driver side but cold on passenger side


check under your hood they may be a loose air hose by the firewall..

'99 Park Ave, No drivers heat


Check the operation of the drivers blend door actuator. Sounds like its stuck or broken. Does the temp display on the dash flash?

sounds like the drivers temp door actuator is not working should be located on the drivers side of the air box down by the gas pedal or center dash area
