2008 ford f-150 fuse location for horn

I will just about 100% guarantee this is not a fuse problem, and even it was what blew the fuse, a shorted horn for sure, so even if you installed a new fuse it would pop again. Go to the Horns and test them if they work you most likely have a defective coiled ribbon contact drum under the steering wheel, it is called the "Clockspring contact drum" Below is a link to a free owners manual. Look in the section called "Roadside Emergencies"

Can't pass emmissions because fuse is out in my 2005 ford explorer. which fuse needs replacing?

Usually the cig lighter fuse.
If you check all of the fuses and don't find any missing or dead, let me know. Info should be in your owners manual.

Horn doesn't work with button on steering wheel, but works with a jumper wire from the battery. not sure where the relay is. 1988 ranger.

get your owners manual out of the glove box and look in the index for fuse panel. now that you know where it is, go there and pull the cover off. the horn relay is a square box plugged into it and will be labeled on the legend in the owners manual and on the back of the panel cover, cheap to replace as one relay fit about every Ford made for 60 years. if that does not do it then you are looking to buy a new horn switch, means taking the plastic cosmetics off the steering wheel. as as it is pre-airbag you do not have that danger to deal with. not hard to do, but where you find that part new is going to keep you googling for a day or two. when all else fails you can mount a momentary single pole push button switch to the dashboard and splice its wires into the horn wires in the wiring bundle on the steering column.

'88 ford F-150 4x4. have no head, paking, or inter. lights. no horn, cig. lighter, and no memory on radio. all of this just comes and goes as it pleases.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

Common cause of this issue is a faulty battery or a loosen battery connector and a faulty alternator. If the battery is faulty it tends to fail when the car is parked. It may drain while it sit which can cause to electrical failure. Try to tighten the battery connectors too.

A faulty alternator can cause the lights and other electrical accessories fail too. If the alternator fails to cycle the discharge energy the electrical accessories may not work so you will need a replacement.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! have a good one!

2001 f-150 ford pick up truck . horn will not work

Did you check the fuse for the horn ? Engine compartment fuse panel, fuse #7, 20A

You can pull the horn relay, and jumper the normally open contacts to see if the fuse, horn and grounds for the horn are in working order ( this operates the horn without needing to use the horn button ).
The Horn relay is a half size Ford ISO relay in the engine compartment fuse panel ( check your owners manual to locate relay 206 ).

Diagram to jumper the horn relay, with this in place, the horn should sound as long as the jumper is in place

If you did not get an owners manual with your truck ( purchased used ), you can download one from Ford :

Power Point on 97 Ford F150 does not work. Cig lighter does work. Based on fuse schematic they both appear to run off the same fuse. Is this correct? If so, what might the problem be?

The owners manual lists :

Cigar lighter / DTC plug :Cab fuse panel Fuse #3, 25 A
Aux Power Point : Engine compartment fuse # 10, 25 A
