Question about 1997 Chevrolet Lumina
The window regulator is bolted or riveted to the door frame..the window is bolted to the window regulator(do that first).. once unplugged and out you can disassemble motor from regulator adn change out failed motor or failed regulator (big sissors looking metal arm system) usual problem is stripped teeth on regulator (driven gears)... if rivets held regulator you will need to change to small bolts/washers to reassemble... good luck
