Question about 1999 Chevrolet Metro

Car doesnt start

My 99 metro would act like is was running on 3cynders no power then suddenly take off and run fine the suddily is wouldnt take of stayed like it was losong power like wasnt running on all cynklers now it just spins doesnt start or sound like it wants to what coul;d it be

It is an ignition problem. First start off in this order:

1. Change the sparking plugs

2. If the problem does not go ... change the plug lead (silicon 8mm are good) and also change the one going to the ignition coil

3. You should try get the distributor points cleaned underneat the distributor cap until they look clean. Spraying Isopropyl cleaner should work fine

4. Last thing the ignition coil as these are the last thing to fail.

I had the same problem on my 99 metro and it ended up being a bad ignition coil pack.goto ebay and buy the general motors tech manual. i highly recomend it.

My truck was running just fine then all of a sudden wouldnt start.. its acting like its not getting gas but its turning over, just not starting.. sounds like a fuel pump?

change the filter first,, if that doesn't work, then spray some carb cleaner into the intake, ( or throttle body , and turn it over, if it runs as long as you spray ( don't use to much) then its probably going to be your fuel pump

93 buick regal 3.8 L is hard to start and will not rev up

mine was doing that and i replaced the fuel pump and now it runs fine so try that and see if that works.

Your catalytic convertor is stopped up, common problem on Geo's! Will burn an exhaust valve if you keep driving it!

"99 cherokee classic: sputtering when cold

I had the same problem with my 99 Cherokee. I was told to replace the blower motor for the carburetor, works great and gas mileage improved.
