150,000 you should have the brakes checked, check brake lines, tune up (spark plugs, wiers, air filter, ect.) rotate your tiers replace if needed, oil change, be sure to change your cabbin filter to, most people don't know that their car has a cabin filter. The shop should tell you exactly what they would do to it.

seems like your oil pressure switch gave up, its located on the side of the oil filter, you can take it out and test with a amp meter. it should cost you less than 20 bucks to buy something like that.

SOURCE: how to fit grand cherokee 1999 brake pads

Visit the autozone.com website and register the vehicle information. It doesn't cost anything and you will gain access to an online repair manual. The information on the braking system should be available for you there. The manual is a very handy resource for anyone doing their own automotive maintenance. Hope this helped and best wishes.

You should still be able to get the correct parts from the dealer on this car, there is also after market parts available at parts stores, corrosion when visible is on the tip of the iceberg. Replacing the entire line is the smart thing to do. Call your dealer and they will tell you availability and the line size. Be critical in not over bending sharp angles, if the line you get is too long and you don't have flaring tools, try looping the extended sections before assembly, be sure they don't interact with moving parts of the car, Hope this helps you and Good luck

Hi, i have a 1999 jeep grand cherokee, 4.0 litre, had the same problem, quits running out of the blue, driving down the road, or sitting idling. starts right back up or takes some cranking to get it running. found out that the crankshaft position sensor was going bad, cost 40$ for the part, but had to have mechinac replace it due to it's location, hard to get at. jeep runs great now.

Water in oil but have a intake water leak under intake

Hey you have a head gasket failure, stop driving and get it fixed. I had a 1999 grand am and years down the road I had water in the oil, mechanic said it was the intake gasket, 1600 dollars later and I sold the car to escape the problems with grand ams, the water is a milky color in the oil, this means there is a breach near the pistons and your colant line and thats where you water and oil mix sometimes cause you engine to overheat and sometimes not able to drive.

1999 Grand GM GT brake problem

First what you'll need to do is find a local auto zone and take the car there and have them scan the car with there computer..Its free and will cost nothing to find out whats making them come on..Theres no real way to check your self unless theres a wire broke or disconnected..Then from there after cars is scanned you be able to get the new part and fix your car,,ABS is a touchy thing and impossible to fix without a scanner..Hope this helps you and have a great day
