Question about 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 Truck
I replaced the alternator, and when i hooked up the battery's some of the stay on like the emerg brake, abs, check gauges, and the little red light keeps on flashing. it turn over but that is it. Is there a proceedure after rehooking the battery,s? Thank you very much.
Make sure both batteries are charged, clean battery terminals, make sure the wire coming from the rear of your alternator is snug on the positive battery post. I take it that it's a diesel-(you said batteries} One last thing to try if it's turning over good but not firing; CHECK THAT 10 AMP FUSE THAT SAYS: ENGINE FUSE. hope this helps

a fault, it then disables the system (this applies to ABS,TCS, TCM,
SRS and BCM faults and others) as long as the light is on. You must
now have the dealer hook up a special electronic diagnostic tool and
