2000 volvo not wanting to stay running

I have replaced the torbo cooler that was cracked. The problem I'm having now with this 2000 Volvo is when starting the car it will not stay running on its own. you have to put your foot in the gas to keep it from stalling out. After a few seconds I't might stay idieling . last night it started to stall out when at stop light ect. the upshift arrow was flashing and engine light was on. When you could keep it running the car seemed to take a lot gas peddel to get the car to even move like I had a emergency brake on. Thank You

Why does 2000 s40 volvo turbo runs hot and the fan stays on after shut off

fans are designed to run on after you shut engine down as engine temperature rise after switching off . running hot could be caused by the top hose having gone soft when you rev the engine the water pump sucks the hose flat stopping the coolant flow or the radiator is blocked and need flushing out

I have had an idling problem with an v70 2000. i took it for a software upgrade at a volvo dealer, that helped me. I also had the adaptive gearbox reset which helped with the car sometimes shifting 'hard' between 2 and 3 gear.

Hi my 2000 volvo s80 auto the engine stalls as soon as i try to slow down or get my feet of gas it stall can some one help please\r\nthank you

check the vacuum hose that runs from the brake booster to the intake manifold, if it is cracked or disconnected it can cause this to happen. check all other vacuum hoses and and the intake hose for air leaks. if no problem found replace the fuel filter, the engine may be getting starved if its clogged.

Dear Sir ? madam, my Volvo just came from a garage and now the cooler under the daschboard has a leak. Two questions can be done accidentally whilst moving the engine out and changing the clutsh plate and...

Hi, yes, the heater core can be damaged while replacing the clutch, most likely the mechanic was trying to disconnect the hoses attached to the heater core and the core cracked at the solder on the outlet. I bought a reco unit for $300au but to fit it takes between 8 and 12 hours as the entire dashboard has to be removed to access it. I hope this helps, cheers.

Starting problem

If it started after the damage was done to the intercooler pipe, then that is where you should focus. A leak in that pipe/hose will cause the problem you mention.
I would guess the check engine light is on, but even if it's not, get the codes checked.
