SOURCE: my toyota 92 pickup truck turn signals don't work;

Try changing out your turn signal flasher.it might be under your dash by your fuse box. Some trucks have two one for turn signals one for 4 way flashers.By all means check the fuse first.

SOURCE: I need to replace the headlight on my 1994 Toyota Pickup

CAUTION Most headlight retaining rings and trim bezels have very sharp edges. Wear gloves. Never pry or push on a headlamp; it can shatter suddenly.

  1. Make sure the headlight switch is in the off position.
  2. Loosen the parking and side turn signal unit retaining screws. Then remove the units unplugging the connectors.

  1. Next, open the hood to gain access to the grille clips. Using a flat-bladded tool, push on the clips to release them and the grille.

  1. The sealed beam is held in place by a retainer and either 2 or 4 small screws. Identify these screws before applying any tools.DO NOT confuse the small retaining screws with the larger aiming screws. There will be two aiming screws or adjustors for each lamp. (One adjustor controls the up/down motion and the other controls the left/right motion.) Identify the adjustors and avoid them during removal. If they are not disturbed, the new headlamp will be in identical aim to the old one.

0900c15280061085.jpg enlarge_icon.gifenlarge_tooltip.gif Fig. Fig. 3: Remove the headlight bezel which is secured by screws
  1. Using a small screwdriver (preferably magnetic) and a pair of taper-nose pliers if necessary, remove the small screws in the headlamp retainer. DON'T drop the screws; they vanish into unknown locations.

A good kitchen or household magnet placed on the shank of the screwdriver will provide enough grip to hold the screw during removal.
  1. Remove the retainer and the headlamp may be gently pulled free from its mounts. Detach the connector from the back of the sealed beam unit and remove the unit from the car.

SOURCE: 93 toyota pickup fuel filler hose

U can do this with special fuel injection flex hose and steel fuel line, this is not regular fuel hose, it is much thicker and much more expensive, use as much steel line as you can, flare the end of the steel line where the rubber line will be attached..

Why won't my pickup run past 1700 rpm,it dies out

When you say "die", I assume you mean that the engine's power falls off to practically nothing. At that rpm I would suspect a faulty EGR valve.

1987 toyota pickup lost all electrical except headlights

What works? Just headlights? Does anything electrical work that does not need the ignition switch to be in the on position? Possibly four way flashers, brake lights, horn, interior light, dash lights in instrument panel as well as headlights should all work without the key in the ignition and in the acc or on position. If this is what you have, then I would say you need to replace the ignition switch.
Hope this helps.

84 toyota. altenator not charging

The diagram shows a capacitor between the regulator red wire and ground on some models. If your truck has that cap, you may want to check it or replace it. I don't see anything else on the diagram that could cause this behavior, unless there is a bad connection somewhere. If that red wire powers the field winding, a bad cap could be pulling down the voltage.

89 toyota pickup electrical problems

Sounds like you have an intermittent electrical problem. Check your positive battery wire going into your fuse box the connection becomes loose. I have seen 2 or 3 Toyota pickups have the a similar problem. Also check Battery connections and the ground cable.

If your pickup has a loose battery cables and/or wires it can not charge to it full potential no matter how new your alternator or your battery. Try turning on your head lights and wiggling your battery wires if the lights go dim or flicker, chances are that wire is loose or has a bad connection.

Charging Problem 1993 toyota pickup

Hello! I too am PA St Insp Mechanic.

Here are some suggestions:

Note that the Fuel injection computer starts to cease to work properly at 10.5 VDC. This leads me to a voltage issue. You mentioning that the veh has bright headlamps may be consuming more power than the alt can deliver, with the heater, the lights and the other "normal" draws.

Test the alt output with a voltmeter, plus to plus, minus to minus, at the battery. You should read 14 + volts with all of the above mentioned accessories on, at idle. 11-12 volts = bad alternator, unless the belt is real slipping bad. 14.4 is the spec.

Also, the Voltage Regulator in inside the alternator.

Glad to provide assistance to you; please rate my help with a FixYa, I would be very grateful.
