SOURCE: 2001 Chrysleraudio Sebring LXi Coupe audio system noise

There is probably a feedback (noise)filter connected somwhere near the coil. the are usually a cylindrical metal filter about the size of a double a battery, usually have a single wire connecting them, there may be one for each ignition coil, the will usually burn the wire when they are bad,not always. hope this helps.

It will be very much appreciated if you could send me the information about how to replace the O2 sensors on a 1998 chrysler sebring convertible.

Hello, Eventually your Chrysler Sebring's oxygen sensor will go bad and need to be replaced. The oxygen sensor regulates the oxygen-to-fuel ratio in your vehicle. It also controls your gas mileage. It senses when more or less oxygen needs to be pumped into the fuel lines. If it fails, your Sebring will run poorly and won't get very good gas mileage. Knowing how to change it yourself can save your money. Here are the instruction to change o2 sensors.
Locate your Sebring's oxygen sensor on the pre-catalytic converter. This is located near the front right wheel well of your vehicle. Apply some anti-seize paste to the threads of the new oxygen sensor. Be careful not to get any of the paste on the sensor itself, or it will be ruined. This makes for easy removal of the sensor next time.Remove the old oxygen sensor, using the 7/8-inch wrench. Find the stock sensor wire near the engine-loop lift. This will be by the firewall of your Chrysler Sebring. Splice the stock sensor wire and connect it to the new oxygen sensor's wire, using crimp connectors.Remove the large air-intake pipe that runs from the air box to the rear turbo. Then remove the two smaller air pipes that run from the air box to the blowoff valves. This will give you access to the oxygen sensor. Soak the old oxygen sensor in WD-40 to loosen it. Screw in the sensor by hand. Use the wrench to fully tighten the oxygen sensor so it cannot be removed by hand. Replace the air pipes to the correct valves again.

How to replace the oxygen sensor ?

    Removal & Installation
    1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. On Cirrus, Stratus, Sebring convertible and Breeze models, disconnect the negative battery cable at the remote location on the left strut tower.
    2. Raise and safely support the vehicle.
    3. Unplug the upstream oxygen sensor connector.

    Disconnecting the oxygen sensor connector

    be28f89.gif
Using an oxygen sensor crow's foot wrench or open end wrench, remove the sensor from the exhaust manifold

    1. If removing the downstream oxygen sensor, detach the sensor electrical harness from the clips along the body.
    2. Remove the sensor using a suitable oxygen sensor crow's foot wrench. After removing the sensor, the exhaust manifold must be cleaned with an 18mm x 1.5 + 6E tap.
    To install:
    1. New oxygen sensors will be packaged with a special anti-seize compound already applied to the threads. If you are reinstalling the old sensor, the sensor threads must be coated with fresh anti-seize compound. You must use the correct type of anti-seize compound containing liquid graphite and glass beads. This is not a conventional anti-seize paste; the graphite will tend to burn away, but the glass beads will remain. The use of a regular compound may electrically insulate the sensor, rendering it inoperative. You must coat the threads with an electrically conductive anti-seize compound.
    2. Carefully thread the sensor into the bore, then tighten to 20 ft. lbs. (28 Nm) on Cirrus, Stratus, Sebring convertible and Breeze models, or 33 ft. lbs. (44 Nm) on Sebring and Avenger coupes.
    3. If installing the downstream oxygen sensor, route the sensor electrical harness through the clips along the body.
    4. Attach the oxygen sensor electrical connector.
    5. Carefully lower the vehicle, then connect the negative battery cable.

How do I change the starter on a 96 sebring coupe

Are you sure it is the starter? This is a picture of where the starter relay is....may be easier and cleaner to change this first....unless it is your starter...none-the-less....here is the info....and not sure the size of motor so pick accordingly:

    RELAY REPLACEMENT

    See Figure 15
On Cirrus, Stratus, Sebring convertible and Breeze models, the starter relay is located in the Power Distribution Center (PDC) in the engine compartment. Refer to the underside of the PDC cover for starter relay location.
On Sebring and Avenger coupes, the starter relay is located under the instrument panel, behind the instrument panel/center console panel. It may only be necessary to remove the center console panel to access the starter relay. However, if the entire console requires removal, refer to .
