My driver side windshield wiper us to stopped working on a 2003 buick park avenue ultra

up for a wiper arm mechanism
or buick genuine part or a used wrecker part

try this
bottom of the wiper arm
there might be a cover and under the cover... a nut
its a nut to tighten
a taper at the base of the whole wiper arm to
motor linkage has probably worked loose

if the tighten doesnt fix it
you can ad an extra washer under the nut and tighten

Wiper arm driver Side windshield does not move can move by hand but not when motor is on. Passenger side is fine and works it does not appear to be able to be removed very Easily

If drivers wiper arm will not move by motor operation and can be easily moved by hand ( with wiper on or off ) suspect disconnected/broken linkage. If wiper arm will not move by motor and takes effort ( With wiper on ) by hand... suspect seized wiper pivot

The drivers side wiper will not sweep, when I turn on the wipers the passenger side works fine. The driver side attempts but doesnt sweep. So I doubt its the wiper motor. any ideas are welcome.

check the nut at the base of the wiper arm . There is a splined taper on the end of the wiper arm shaft and if this is loose then the arm shaft moves but it turns inside the base of the wiper arm.

The driver side wiper arm will not go up. i was told i would need to tightin a bolt at the very bottom of the arm but i dont see anything

at the base of the wiper arm is a black plastic round cap.pop this off with a small screwdriver and you will find the nut you neeed to tighten beneath it.requires 14mm wrench.

The windshield wiper arm on the drivers' side of my 1999 S10 went erratic. It is all over the place. The passenger side is fine. Need help fixing it. Thanks

At the base of the arm there will be a plastic cap. Pull up on it and there will be a nut that holds the arm to the wiper linkage. It is usually a 15mm or 13mm. With the arm in the proper place tighten the nut. That should take care of it.

For the last few weeks I've been tightening my 2003 impala's passenger side windshield wiper daily. It also slams onto the plastic when it reaches the bottom...what could the problems be? The driver side...

the wiper arm could need to be replaced
being loose could have have worn the hole in the wiper arm
or the splines on the wiper transmission maybe damaged
i would try a new wiper arm first
use BLUE LOCTITE on the threads and TORQUE the nut to (22 lb ft)
hope this helps

Wiper problem

one mote. Look under the wiper arm cap at the end and see i f there is a nut. tighten it a bit if it is there. if no nut or bolt stud then the inside part of the wiper arm has stripped out.

Broken wiper arm on 1997 Chev Malibu

the best option is a small puller, but you probably dont have one so...put the nut back on, run it down on the threads just enough for the nut to be all the way on, but no thread protruding from it. Now lightly pry on the bottom of the arm while tapping on the nut with a hammer, the shock should loosen the tapered connection and pop off the arm.

at the bottom of the arm with a screw driver take off the plastic cover then its just as simple as tightening the nut
